Tim Lynch/ JCharles Photography

“When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph.” -Annie Leibovitz

That is one of those quotes that i live by.  Towards the end of last year i went down to visit my friend Mallory in Chico, and met Tim.  And true to that quote not too long after i photographed him.  We just took a stroll around Chico before the Super Bowl, and i plan on doing some studio stuff with him soon too.  It was fun! It's always a bonding experience when you photograph someone, and probably even more so when you are retouching.  You get to know all the out things that make people unique and who they are.
NOTE: Some of these are digital and some are Medium Format film.

this last one is an out take LOL (this is the real Tim)

Haley and Conor / JCharles Photography

Couple photos for Haley and Conor that I did more recently for their anniversary !

Bear and Arctic / JCharles Photography

My friend from high school James Bear and is friend Aric have a band that they wanted some images for.  This was fun and outside the box.  James came up with a lot of the ideas that i honestly would have never thought of.  It's a bit dark and creepy for some.

Brent Lindsey / JCharles Photography modeling

In December one of my Senior clients Brent Lindsey did some modeling for some new portfolio work i was doing.  I had a great time on the shoot, and it's always great when models let you put them in some ridiculous things and poses so your vision can be expressed.  Brent was a good sport about all of it so here are some of the images.

Christina and Sam's Wedding

So back in July (yes this is how massive the next few blog posts are going to be) Christina and Sam got married!
Kate, Willie, Lindsey, and I were in Gilroy, CA for a few days for this and had a great time.  The wedding was beautiful, and the weather, while hot was not overwhelming.

I love the last set. It was such a mom thing to do lol.
